“…Energized by the magical transformation of raw clay into fine art.”

Kayla Kirk is a ceramic artist living in Toledo, OH. Recently Kayla opened her own pottery studio, Charmed Ceramics. Kayla’s studio is located in the heart of downtown Toledo, at 23 N. Huron St. - across from the Mud Hen’s stadium. Charmed Ceramics focuses on quality, handmade goods for the home and public pottery workshops.

Kayla holds a BFA in Sculpture and a BA in Art History from the University of Toledo. Kayla began her visual arts career in 2019 as a pottery decorator for The Henry Ford Museum’s Greenfield Village. On her days off, Kayla taught herself the basics of functional pottery in a makeshift studio in her basement.

Kayla’s work has been guided by personal narrative and energized by the magical transformation of raw clay into fine art. She explores the boundlessness of form, texture, and color to craft pieces that exude whimsy, humanity, and organic joy with an appreciation for interconnections with nature.
